I just wanted to make people aware about this problem. As you can see on this map, Africa is like a running sore in the middle of the map. The areas that I have painted in red are the poorest countries in the world and the yellow ones are the perpetual "developing" countries.
On the other hand, at the dawn of the 21st century 40 million women, men and children perish every year from starvation, disease and malnutrition. As you know poverty and disease go hand in hand.
